Adam Burnside, son of Macy’s owner Dean Burnside to take the lead of new acquisition.

Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties - April 1, 2011 – Macy’s Termite & Pest Control Company is growing in the Venice area with the acquisition of Mike Wilcox Pest Control.  Wilcox has been serving over 700 customers since 2002 and will be pursuing other endeavors with his family.  Beginning April 1, Adam Burnside, son of owner Dean Burnside, will be managing and providing pest control services for all of Wilcox’s former customers. “This is a fantastic opportunity for Adam to run his own business within our family business.  He will learn from the ground up and position himself to manage the entire company in the future,” says proud father, Dean Burnside. With the acquisition, Macy’s will add approximately 10% growth to their 2011 revenue.  “We are excited for the opportunity to offer our new customers additional services like termite and rodent prevention which Mike did not emphasize.  We will be using all green products which will enhance their experience as well,” says Dean Burnside.  Macy’s Termite & Pest Control has been serving over 6000 customers on the Gulf Coast since 1989.  They were voted Green Business of the Year in 2009 and 2010 by the readers of Natural Awakenings Healthy Living magazine.
